    The Yorkshire Dales is a perfect haven for walkers and a world renowned area of natural beauty. Up hill or down dale they all provide interesting wildlife, generous hospitality and unrivalled scenery. The walks range from easy, short walks to more difficult and longer walks for the experienced rambler. We provide walking books, leaflets and maps in the cottage. From West Burton there are walks to Walden, Penhill or to the surrounding villages of Thoralby, Aysgarth and Castle Bolton. One of the most popular walks from the village is to The Knights Templar Chapel.
